A ‘bum’ time at Windsong

by Patricia on February 8, 2010

We had a lovely weekend in PD. Our niece and her husband joined us, and where three’s a lovely time, five was even better :)

The sun beat down mercilessly, and thank god for the trees, or we’d have been roasted alive!

Saturday was just another lazy day, eating the lovely pasta Niels cooked, playing catch-up with what’s happening with whom.

Usually, Niels and Sania would head down to the beach and make sand-castles. But because it was so hot, they stayed home, and I made us all banana (from our own tree!!!) pancakes for tea.

For dinner we dined on fish - courtesy of the fisherman, Chuan - caught, cleaned and cooked by the hamsum fisherman himself. And, it was totally yummy!

(By the way, I hope you’ve noted that we’ve got our men ‘trained’: meals prepared by the men: Niels and Chuan; and don’t forget Dan who’ll forever be doing them for us ;)

On Sunday, the sand-castlers finally made it down to the beach. Never mind the gila sun and the scalding sand!

See their handiwork below!!!

And number that’s not a sand-sculpture of me. I wish!!!! The naughty-so-and-so’s threatened to sign it with my name, and they did! Evil buggers.

Notice the bashful lady’s hair of seaweed. So nice, ah? And the dead giveaway that it’s not me: Aiyoh! her lovely bum, and nice long legs lah!!! Sigh.

Yah, it’s either Pat the lady, or Pat the artist! Either way, they’re so getting me kicked out of PD by the shy,  modest and prayerful folks who live there!!!
